2013 Audi A4 Review – US News & World Reports
The 2013 Audi A4 has an attractive, upscale cabin, critics said, and its lively base engine and athletic handling make it a pleasure to drive.
Most test drivers had no problem accelerating the 2013 Audi A4 up to highway speeds with its standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The 2013 A4 comes standard with front-wheel drive and an automatic transmission (CVT), but reviewers preferred either the responsive eight-speed automatic or the six-speed manual that are available on all-wheel drive models. The performance-oriented S4 trim has a supercharged V6 engine. According to the EPA, the base 2013 Audi A4 gets 24/31 mpg city/highway, which is high for an upscale midsize car. Test drivers reported that the A4 feels composed whether riding over bumpy roads or taking a corner. A few added that the A4 has well-weighted steering, strong brakes and lots of grip with its all-wheel drive system.
Critics said the 2013 Audi A4’s interior is tightly constructed with exemplary materials, and has a handsome design. Front-seat leg- and headroom are fine for taller people, according to automotive experts, but a few noted that rear-seat legroom can be tight. The 2013 Audi A4 has 12.4 cubic feet of trunk space, which is a bit low for the class. Standard features include a sunroof, leather upholstery and Audi’s MMI infotainment system with a 6.5-inch display. Available features include navigation, adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, Bluetooth, a USB/iPod input, a 14-speaker Bang and Olufsen audio system and Audi Connect wireless Internet connectivity. Some critics noted that it can be difficult to make audio and climate adjustments with the MMI system.
