UNDERSTANDING MERCEDES A AND B SERVICES

When it comes to maintaining your favorite Mercedes-Benz, just remember a couple of letters and keywords. The manufacturer recommends Services A and B at particular mileage marks. You can remember these by thinking how “awesome” your car is, and that Holland Car Care in San Carlos, California, is your “best” dealership alternative for routine preventive maintenance services and repairs. The next time your auto requires attention, schedule an appointment with one of our certified technicians. An ASE Blue Seal shop in business since 1974, we’ll pamper your luxury German vehicle as much as you do.

MERCEDES-BENZ SERVICE A POINTS

After driving your vehicle for a year or 10,000 miles (whichever occurs first), Mercedes-Benz recommends the Service A scheduled maintenance. Not surprisingly, your car is due for an oil and filter change at this point, with synthetic oil being the preferred lubricant. Also, your technician will inspect the brakes, check and top off fluids, and measure/adjust tire air pressure. Once these things are completed, the mechanic performing the services will reset the maintenance minder.

This schedule applies to year model autos 2009 and newer. For those made in 2008 or before, consult the owner’s manual or talk to one of our staff members regarding the recommended schedule. We can also help you with a routine if you drive under harsh or extreme circumstances on a regular basis.

MERCEDES-BENZ SERVICE B POINTS

After 20,000 miles of driving, your vehicle will be due for Service B. Your technician will repeat the brake inspections, tire air pressure check, oil and filter change, and fluid top-off. He/she will also replace the cabin dust/combination filter and reset the maintenance counter. As with the first scheduled maintenance, discuss possible adjustments if you drive an older model or operate under usual circumstances.

YOUR BEST PLACE FOR SERVICING YOUR AWESOME CAR

Unquestionably, your Mercedes-Benz is awesome. That’s why you bought it, and that’s why you drive it. In fact, we anticipate that you’ll get many miles out of your reliable ride. It’s not at all uncommon for a well maintained Mercedes-Benz to last for 200,000 miles or even more. In fact, these cars typically run so long that the manufacturer has set up a recognition system to designate longevity.

When you reach the following marks, you’ll receive a certificate and a Star and Laurel Badge: 155,000; 310,000; 466,000; 621,000; and 1,000,000. While the care required to assist your vehicle in reaching these milestones can be obtained at any Mercedes-Benz dealership, you have a choice regarding where to take your car for service and repairs. Your best place for local German auto service is Holland Car Care where we stake our reputation on exceptional work.
